JideTech LC015 Forest Fire Detection Thermal PTZ Camera

The JideTech LC015 is a professional dual-spectrum thermal PTZ camera designed for long-range forest fire prevention, high-point observation, perimeter security and unattended outdoor monitoring. It combines a 4MP 33X optical zoom visible camera with a 640×512 thermal imaging module, enabling 24/7 monitoring in daylight, darkness, smoke, haze and low-visibility environments.

With optional 9.1mm, 18mm, 35mm and 50mm thermal lenses, the LC015 supports fire-source detection from 1.5km to up to 7km, making it suitable for forests, power transmission corridors, petrochemical areas, mining sites, border and coastal defense, airports and other wide-area security projects.

Important: The long-range distance refers to fire-source detection for a 2m × 2m fire target. Temperature measurement distance is ≤20m according to the datasheet. Please do not treat the 7km fire detection distance as 7km temperature measurement distance.

Why LC015 Is Suitable for Forest Fire Prevention

Forest fire prevention does not only require a camera that can see far. It requires long-range thermal detection, reliable PTZ scanning, intelligent alarm filtering and visible-light confirmation after an alarm. The LC015 is designed for this type of wide-area unattended monitoring.

  • Early heat-source discovery: Detect abnormal heat sources before visible flames become obvious.
  • Dual-spectrum confirmation: Use thermal imaging for detection and the 4MP visible camera for visual verification.
  • Reduced manual workload: Intelligent alarms reduce dependence on operators watching live video continuously.
  • Lower false alarms: Intelligent masking helps block irrelevant heat sources and reduce unnecessary alarms.
  • Wide-area cruise monitoring: 360° pan, preset scan and angle scan support automated high-point patrols.
  • Project integration: Network protocols and SDK alarm output make it easier to integrate with monitoring platforms.

Intelligent Detection Functions

Multi-target Heat-source Detection
Detect multiple heat-source targets at the same time.
Over-temperature Alarm
Set temperature thresholds and trigger alarms when exceeded.
Fire Warning
Support fire-source warning for forest and outdoor safety projects.
Smoke Recognition
Assist early warning when smoke appears in monitored areas.
Perimeter Protection
Region intrusion, line crossing, entering-region and leaving-region detection.
Intelligent Masking
Dynamic and static masking to reduce false alarms.
Heat-source Tracking
Support tracking of abnormal heat-source targets.
Cruise Scanning
Preset scanning and angle scanning for automatic patrol monitoring.

Dual-Spectrum Visible + Thermal Monitoring

The LC015 combines thermal imaging and visible-light imaging in one PTZ platform. The thermal channel detects heat-source targets, while the visible-light channel provides clearer image details for confirmation, review and security response. This dual-spectrum structure is especially useful for forest fire prevention, border areas, power corridors and large outdoor sites.

FAQ

Is the 7km distance temperature measurement distance?

No. The 7km distance refers to fire-source detection for a 2m × 2m fire target with the 50mm thermal lens. Temperature measurement distance is ≤20m.

Which thermal lens should I choose?

Choose 9.1mm or 18mm if you need a wider field of view. Choose 35mm or 50mm if you need longer detection distance. For high-point forest fire prevention, 35mm and 50mm are usually more suitable.

Does the LC015 support 24/7 monitoring?

Yes. The thermal channel works independently of visible light, and the PTZ platform supports cruise scanning and preset monitoring.

Is the monitoring software included?

Software availability depends on the project configuration. Please contact JideTech to confirm software version, deployment method, alarm integration and licensing before ordering.
