Two Cameras, Two Separate Views
Unlike a conventional single-lens solar security camera, the JideTech D3 uses two independent camera modules.
- Upper fixed camera: Provides a stable overview of the main monitoring area and supports up to 180° horizontal adjustment.
- Lower PTZ camera: Supports 320° pan and 90° tilt for flexible monitoring and human tracking.
Each camera provides a resolution of 2304 × 1296, giving the system a combined resolution of 6MP.
The fixed camera can continuously observe the wider scene, while the PTZ camera can rotate to monitor activity in different directions. This dual-camera arrangement helps reduce blind spots and provides more complete visual information.
AOV Low-Power 24/7 Monitoring
AOV means Always-On Video. It is designed to provide continuous low-power visual monitoring without keeping the camera at full frame rate all the time.
- When no person is detected: The camera operates at approximately 1 frame per second to reduce power consumption.
- When a person is detected: The frame rate automatically increases to approximately 15 frames per second.
- 24-hour recording mode: The camera maintains a low-frame-rate video record instead of remaining completely asleep.
This working method offers a practical balance between continuous monitoring and solar battery consumption.
Please note: AOV does not mean the camera records at 15 FPS continuously for 24 hours. It normally records at a lower frame rate when the scene is inactive and increases the frame rate after a person is detected.
AOV Camera vs. Traditional PIR Battery Camera
Many traditional battery-powered security cameras rely mainly on PIR triggering. They normally remain in sleep mode to reduce battery consumption and start recording only after heat or motion activates the PIR sensor.
The D3 uses AOV low-power monitoring, allowing the camera to maintain a continuous low-frame-rate video record even when no person is detected.
| Comparison | D3 AOV Camera | Typical PIR-Triggered Battery Camera |
|---|---|---|
| Standby Status | Maintains low-frame-rate video monitoring | Usually remains in sleep mode |
| No Person Detected | Records at approximately 1 FPS | Usually does not record |
| Human Detected | Increases to approximately 15 FPS | Wakes up and begins event recording |
| Video Before Detection | A low-frame-rate record may already be available | Usually unavailable while the camera is sleeping |
| Recording Type | Continuous low-power recording plus higher-frame-rate event recording | Mainly short motion-triggered clips |
| Monitoring Continuity | Better continuity between inactive and active periods | There may be gaps before the trigger occurs |
| Power-Saving Method | Reduces the frame rate during inactive periods | Keeps the camera asleep until PIR activation |
AOV is particularly useful when customers need better monitoring continuity but still require a low-power solar camera.
Traditional PIR-only cameras may be suitable when customers only need short event clips and maximum standby time. The D3 is more suitable when the user wants a continuous low-frame-rate record of the monitored area.
8W Solar Panel and 15600mAh Battery
The D3 is powered by an external 8W solar panel and a rechargeable battery system with a total capacity of 15600mAh.
- 8W solar charging panel
- 15600mAh total rechargeable battery capacity
- Charging current up to 2000mA
- Approximate standby power consumption: 0.18W
- Daytime operating power consumption: no more than 1.4W
- Nighttime operating power consumption: no more than 3.5W
No nearby electrical outlet is required, making the camera suitable for locations where conventional power wiring is expensive or unavailable.
Actual battery operating time depends on sunlight conditions, installation angle, recording activity, night vision usage, network signal quality, temperature and the number of human detection events.
Choose WiFi or 4G LTE
The JideTech D3 is available in two separate network versions.

The 4G LTE version is available with different regional communication modules. Please confirm the installation country and required 4G frequency bands before ordering.
The WiFi model and 4G LTE model are separate products. One camera does not switch between WiFi and 4G LTE.
Human Detection and Automatic Tracking
The D3 supports human detection with a sensing distance of up to approximately 30 meters under suitable installation and environmental conditions.
When a person enters the monitored area, the PTZ camera can follow the detected movement while the fixed camera continues showing the general scene.
- Human detection
- Automatic human tracking
- Detection distance: approximately 0–30 meters
- Fixed-camera overview
- PTZ-camera movement tracking
Detection performance may vary depending on installation height, target size, walking direction, environmental temperature, obstructions and weather conditions.
Flexible Pan and Tilt Coverage
- PTZ horizontal rotation: Up to 320°
- PTZ vertical rotation: Up to 90°
- Fixed camera adjustment: Up to 180° horizontally
- Viewing angle: Approximately 83° per camera
The combination of an adjustable fixed camera and motorized PTZ camera provides wider monitoring coverage than a standard single-lens solar camera.
Smart Dual-Light Night Vision
The D3 supports two night-monitoring modes for different outdoor applications.
- Black-and-white night vision: Uses infrared illumination for low-light monitoring.
- Intelligent night vision: Uses infrared and white-light illumination according to the selected working mode.
Both camera modules use a 4mm F1.6 lens with an approximately 83° viewing angle.
- White-light power: no more than 2.4W
