Important Performance Difference

Long-Range Detection and Temperature Measurement Are Not the Same

The thermal channel can detect large heat targets over long distances, while accurate temperature measurement is specified for targets within 20 meters.

Fire Detection Up to 3.6km / 5km

Detection distance for a 2m x 2m fire source: 3.6km with the 25mm lens and 5km with the 35mm lens.

Temperature Measurement Up to 20m

Measurement range: -20°C to 150°C. Accuracy: ±2°C or ±2% of the reading, whichever is greater.

Detection distance is influenced by target size, temperature contrast, weather, humidity and atmospheric visibility. The values above use the target sizes stated in the product specification.

Can the camera measure temperature at 3.6km or 5km?

No. The 3.6km and 5km values refer to detection of a 2m x 2m fire source. The specified accurate temperature-measurement distance is up to 20m.

What is the difference between the 25mm and 35mm thermal lenses?

The 25mm lens offers a wider 17.4° x 14° field of view. The 35mm lens has a narrower 12.5° x 10° field of view and longer target-detection distances.

Which visible-light camera options are available?

You can choose a 4MP visible camera with 30X optical zoom or an 8MP visible camera with 40X optical zoom.

Can thermal and visible video be accessed through one IP address?

Yes. The P24-TH uses a single RJ45 network interface and one IP address for both thermal and visible streams.

Does the P24-TH support third-party integration?
